Swimming is in full effect. HAX I tell you!

Guys team is 1-1. I doubt we're gonna win anymore matches. Its going to be, lose, lose, lose, lose. Or something similar to that. I need to get better. Haha.

I skipped school today.

I'm 18. I'm allowed to.

I rawk. I slept for, like, 4 extra hours.

Oi! Chrismas list.

1. Bindings, which I'm going to get anyway.
2. Dead Rising and Chromehounds please.
3. XBox Live
4. New Computer?? Haha.
5. Music? Any.
6. A Harold and Kumar DVD.
7. Mountian Creek Tripple Play card
8. More DVDs?

Thats about it.

I've got to say.

This topic has come up before.

And I must say.

Crunchy Cheeots are over a million times better then the puffy ones.

Edit. Quoting the comment below.

My brother owns all of you.

"Who would even debate that? It's a known fact that fats can't be tasted as well when airated. It's no contest. Fluffy cheetos are for children with extremely weak taste buds who prefer the babyish sensation of starch dissolving in the mouth. Anyone with a taste bud more complex than a five year olds will prefer compressed cheetos to the fluffy ones."

The lack of pictures disturbs me.

None-the-less. It must press on.

Sorry for the rant.

I'm 18.

Ask me how it feels.

The same. Now, only that as this magical number, I am able to vote, have sex and go to war. And yet, if I choose to smoke, I cannot. I wouldn't but its not like I have a choice now. If I have chosen to drink, legally, I cannot. That magical age is the big two-one. I do not understand. I feel that I am a responsible person, and that I can take responsibility for my actions. I do not understand why the government feels the need to take over a persons life. They need not say what a person can do at what time. Its not their job.

Spare my Libertarian rants.

And the ages keep rising. One day in the far future, you will see the drinking age in our backwards country up to 30 years old. It will keep rising to keep the "younger generations" from getting it. This might be a pessimistic view, or some kind of really really worst case slippery slope. Who knows? Remember when the drinking age was 18? That was a long time ago. And with some underhanded Federal Government tricks, like cutting funding, they were able to get some idiotic bills passed by the state governments. Le sigh. Everything is going down the toilet.

Why not just move to a more liberal country...continent. I don't know. Politics is what I'm interested in, and yet, my views are all screwed up. I have no clue what to think anymore. Government is a necessary evil vs. the human need for...well...help. Some people need the help, but is it the governments responsibility? Is it the government that goes in to every home handing out food? Should they? Can they? Are there those who need it more then others, yes. Are there those that are going to take advantage of the help, yes. Is this alone the sole reason why we cannot give them the help they need? Should it be equal across the board or should one family, who had the little sense to give birth to seven children on minimum wage, get more.

Is this spreading stupidity? I don't think so, but it might spread irresponsibility. With people getting help, they will have less incentive. Incentive, the drive to work. Does welfare lead to less incentive? It surely allows them to get by with less. Look at the DMV right now. The Department of Motor Vehicles is the more inefficient, incompetent, piece of shit I've ever been to. If I had the option of going somewhere else, I would. But unfortunately for all my driving needs I need to go to the DMV. Craptastic.

I was talking about incentive. Those that the DMV have none. They do not need to compete with other businesses trying to out-do them. They are not paid for the amount of work they do. Those employees have little incentive to do anything other then sit on their asses and blow freshly painted nails. Last year I had to wait eight hours to get my license because the "system was down and our IT guy is on vacation." If there was another business to compete, then that would've been up in five minutes. Not eight hours.

With people caring less about the job they do, or the quality of work they accomplish, there will be little to drive individuals. There will be those, that I myself am akin to, who will sit around, slacking, pretending to work, and look around aimlessly. The great American dream of coming and making a business and making money will be all but gone. Slippery slope again, I know.

But this is not saying that there are those who don't need it. There are some, in such dire straights that they need every penny to scrape by on meager earnings. This is the horrid part. Where do you say that certain people can get what. This can and may lead to favoritism. But how do you put a machine in or a guideline that says every specific situation. This is where I am split.

Where do you step in, and say what is good for the people?
